In order to achieve this we are seeking a skilled, self-motivated Clinical Data Management Specialist to lead all daily operational data management activities and oversee the structural and modeling quality of all abstracted and clinical data in accordance with all product and data mart specifications.   

This role includes supporting the design and establishment of all abstraction data pipelines and workflows used for ingestion, management, structuring, and delivery in a manner that results in high-quality data, products and services. This position is also responsible for communicating frequent updates and plans on high impact, high visibility data products. 

Job Description

• Serve as the clinical data management lead and subject matter expert and the first escalation point for abstraction data modeling, ingestion, quality, and management issues.  

• Work with software engineers and developers to design the creation and development of workflows concerning the management of abstraction data within and across data pipelines by translating business requirements into technical requirements and specifications.

• Analyze, manipulate, and transform clinical data to inform business decisions.

• Support the development of policies, and procedures related to data management.  

• Support the completion of data quality auditing, validation, and tracking using automated means and quality assessment reports for all data ingested into databases.

• Support the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries, data mapping files, and all necessary standard operating procedures, guidelines, and workflows pertaining to data management. 

• Provide statistical reports on data management trends requiring business decisions.

• Write SQL, Python, etc., code to query raw clinical and genomic data and structured clinical data to determine root-cause of data modeling and ingestion errors and identify the best methods for resolving identified errors. 

• Deidentify clinical and genomics data marts by determining the best de identification method required for the data and use-case. 

• Perform data transformation on existing and new data marts.
