Senior Climate Resilience Consultant
ICF brings industry-leading experience in climate action and adaptation planning (covering both resilience and decarbonization). ICF has earned a reputation for its analytical rigor, in-depth expertise, and technical integrity, specifically in relation to analyzing future climate scenarios, assessing climate risks, and building climate resilience. We have in-depth experience generating applied climate science and translating that science into tools and solutions for improving community resilience. We regularly support resilience and adaptation efforts for city, state, and county governments working across sectors. We are increasingly supporting community-based partners and underserved communities alongside government and/or private sector clients with attention to the principles of equity and justice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with interdisciplinary coursework across physical and social sciences
5+ years of experience in climate resilience topics
Experience in the water and coastal sectors specifically focused on resilience building and adaptation solutions.
Experience supporting city, state, and/or federal agencies and community-based efforts
Experience managing collaborative teams for complex tasks or projects.
The ability to understand the bigger picture goals of a project and then break down the work into logical and manageable steps.
Comfort generating and working with quantitative and qualitative data and scientific information.
Excellent communication skills, including to be able to synthesize detailed and complex information, identify salient points, and explain it in clear language.
Experience facilitating efficient and effective meetings, workshops, and diverse modes of engagement.
Knowledge of and experience with principles of climate equity and justice.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in science or PhD preferred.
8+ years of experience in climate resilience topics
Comfort working with Microsoft Excel, GIS, R, and/or Python.
Experience conducting risk and vulnerability assessments.
Experience developing climate adaptation and resiliency plans.
Experience developing project schedules and tracking project financials.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
