We are seeking a talented individual to join our Commercial Marine team at Marsh Specialty. This role will be based in Vancouver, B.C. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The qualified candidate will exhibit strong integrity and a dedication to diversity and inclusion. Additionally, they show the potential to assume greater responsibilities beyond their current role. Furthermore, they adhere to all business, ethical, legal, and compliance standards while supporting the team in renewing the current book of business.
We will count on you to:
- Assist with the collection of renewal information from clients and underwriters.
- Prepare renewal strategy documents, coverage specifications/submissions, and client presentations.
- Review and analyze quotations and comparisons.
- Coordinate work with Client Support Services (CSS) for certificates, invoicing, and allocation preparation.
- Participate in client meetings, underwriter meetings, and group presentations as needed.
- Manage billing and accounts receivable activity on assigned accounts and ensure compliance with the Renewal Action Plan.
- Prepare premium and risk allocation for billing and taxation purposes.
- Review less complex insurance contract clauses.
What you need to have:
- 3-5 years of commercial insurance experience.
- Postsecondary education or equivalent work experience.
- A valid BC Level 1 Brokers license and willingness to work toward a Level 2 license within 1 year of hire.
- Solid understanding of basic marine, property/casualty insurance principles, and risk management concepts.
