Within the organization PCG has a project team dedicated to providing Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) representation and advocacy work for child welfare agencies throughout the country. This project team is referred to as our Social Security Advocacy Management Service SSAMS™ team. PCG is dedicated to supporting child welfare programs and enhancing the lives of foster youth through effective child-centered Social Security advocacy management programs.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Disability Eligibility Analyst (DEA) to join our team. In this role, you will be in a key role to connect foster children to Social Security benefits through screening & identification, applications and management of pending applications with the Social Security Administration (SSA). You will leverage your expertise to support case workers and ensure accurate and efficient handling of various benefit-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identification: Screen foster youth electronic case files to identify children who may have potential eligibility for SSA benefit programs.
  • Case Worker Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to case workers on benefit-related matters.
  • Applications: Develop and file applications with the SSA by gathering supporting evidence, completing forms and gathering necessary signatures.
  • Management of Pending Application:  Manage pending applications by tracking their status, providing updated information and facilitating attendance by children who need to attend Consultative Exams requested by SSA.
  • Detailed Tracking: Maintain comprehensive and precise records of all benefit activities and transactions.
  • Training:  Provide periodic training to workers regarding the Social Security program.
  • Liaison:  Act as the primary day to day liaison with client.
  • Hybrid Work Environment: Work can primarily be done remotely but does require to be in the office each Monday.

Required Skills:

  • Strong skills with Word, Excel, and other Outlook Microsoft products
  • Professional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
  • Knowledge and understanding of SSA eligibly requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that is focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of all materials in the work setting

Required Experience:

  • An associate degree or 2 years relevant experience.
  • Human Service or public sector background preferred.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $60,000 to $67,000 . In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
