Nurse Case Management AssistantHourly, Remote Position in Carson City, NVMonday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | $20 - $23 per hour
About the Role
The Nurse Case Management Assistant provides essential clerical and administrative support to the Nurse Case Management team. This role is vital to ensuring timely and accurate management of claims and communication between nurses, adjusters, supervisors, and medical providers.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize case files, update referral information, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
- Coordinate claimant referrals for office visits, tests, treatments, and other medical services under supervision.
- Arrange and coordinate independent medical exams as needed.
- Request and manage medical records from providers to assist with claims processing.
- Prepare claim files and handle setup instructions as requested.
- Communicate effectively with clients, claimants, and medical providers via phone and email.
- Summarize correspondence and medical records in claim log notes and ensure files are updated appropriately.
- Review and maintain personal diaries in the claim system.
- Provide clerical and technical claims support and serve as backup for adjusters when needed.
- Maintain compliance with corporate claim standards and HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
What You Bring
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to shift between tasks frequently.
- Preferred:

- Experience in workers’ compensation claims or a related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
