Classification and Compensation Coordinator (Remote, North Carolina Based)

The Classification and Compensation Coordinator will work alongside the Classification and Compensation Specialist and under the supervision of the Manager of Classification & Compensation to handle the administration functions of the Classification and Compensation team. The individual in this role will handle the entry and organization of data in the HRIS platform, the initial calculation of job offers amounts, and assist with projects to support the compensation program.

This position is primarily full-time remote. Selected candidate must reside in North Carolina and be willing to travel to the home office (Morrisville, NC) for onsite team meetings as needed.

 Responsibilities & Duties

Conduct Job Offer Evaluations

  • Review job applicant resumes to quantify the experience and credentials of job candidates
  • Utilize established calculations and tracking systems to calculate salary offers for candidates under the guidance of the Classification and Compensation Manager
  • Review tracking systems and compensation data to ensure that job offers follow fair and equitable practices
  • Ensure confidentiality in handling of employee and job applicant information 
  • Record offer data in relevant tracking systems

Perform Data Entry and Maintenance of Compensation Related Data 

  • Assist with the maintenance of position and job information in the HRIS platform
  • Create documentation and enter salary adjustments for changes in the job or status of existing employees
  • Assist with the administration of the Professional Development Increase program including gathering documents and entering salary increases 
  • Track the probation status of employees with the help of the Employee Relations team and enter probation completion salary increases as needed

Classification and Compensation Document and Process Reviews and Maintenance

  • Assist with maintenance of reference documents including job descriptions, desk procedures, and staff reference guides
  • Assist with the review of payroll reports to ensure accuracy in employee pay information
  • Support program and document projects to help develop the Classification and Compensation program 

General HR

  • Assist with information gathering and reporting as needed
  • Assist with HR audits as needed 
  • Maintain compliance standards for HR recordkeeping
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

Required:

Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Accounting & Finance, or related field and two (2) years of administrative experience with a focus on human resources including experience working in a HRIS platform to add and process employee information required.

Or

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with demonstrated interest and experience with human resources systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. 

Preferred:

Experience in compensation preferred. Experience handling large sets of HRIS data and job offer calculations preferred. Experience working in Human Resources for State or Local Government in North Carolina also preferred.

Salary Range 

$25.00- $33.13/Hourly 

Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
