Claims Technician - Workers' Compensation

The Claims Technician provides support to the workers’ compensation claims team in a variety of ways, including preparing correspondence, scheduling medical appointments, locating network providers, and assisting with calls related to medical bills.
Job Responsibilities
- Duties are not limited to the below and may expand over time.
- Prepare forms and letters
- Request medical records
- Schedule appointments for injured workers
- Schedule translation and transportation services
- Locate providers within the medical provider network
- Assist with billing related questions and supply billing information to medical providers
- Complete referrals for independent medical evaluations via online portal
- Assist with data completion in claim system
Preferred Knowledge
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting assigned deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to speak and write knowledgably with internal and external clients
- Proficient in MS Word, One Note, Outlook and Excel
- Ability to thrive in a remote environment
Education
- College degree preferred
Experience
- At least 2 years of office experience.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
