The Cigna AR Manager leads the revenue cycle team, including Cigna billing and cash collections. This role collaborates closely with the VP of Client Finance, the CFO, and other department leaders to ensure smooth financial operations and effective client communication. The Cigna AR Manager will oversee the accounts receivable balances from all client activities, adapting to an evolving environment while implementing a comprehensive collection process.
Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of accounts receivable.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze revenue, invoice, and accounts receivable reports.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary contact for Cigna client communications regarding billing issues.
- Audit Management: Manage individual client audits and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with leadership to mitigate risks surrounding accounts receivable.
- KPI Management: Develop and manage metrics and dashboards to track key financial data.
- Team Development: Provide leadership and direction to the Cigna AR team, implementing efficient payment processing solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Document accounts receivable procedures and recommend enhancements.
- Additional Duties: Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Significant experience in finance or revenue cycle management; TPA experience is a plus. CPA certification is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to effectively lead teams and manage diverse staff, particularly in a remote setting.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills; expertise in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred) and basic knowledge of SQL databases is desirable.
- Adaptability: A proactive team player who excels in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
