Position: Chief Technology Officer

Location: 11305 Four Points Dr., Building 2, Ste 100, Austin, TX 78726 (Various unanticipated worksites)

Responsibilities: Own and oversee the Software Development Life Cycles for BigCommerce’s Feedonomics product line and ensure continual Improvement. Define the policies and processes for how software engineering is performed at the company, and ensure these policies are enforced and processes are followed. Ensure that the Engineering department is appropriately staffed with talented and dedicated team members and are properly growing in their skills and responsibilities.
Directly manage the development of any key strategic projects or products for the company from a technical perspective. Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.
Ensure cross-functional collaboration and communication and leverage technology sharing to foster innovation. Discover and implement new technologies and infrastructure that yield competitive advantage. The
Chief Technology Officer will use stakeholders’ feedback to inform the company of necessary improvements and adjustments to technology. Additionally, he will communicate technology strategy to partners and investors. Position will be headquartered in Austin, TX but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Educ./experience: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field, plus two years of post-baccalaureate
experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Director of Engineering or in a related position. Experience must include PHP, AngularJS, ActionScript3,
MongoDB, Slim Framework, RabbitMQ, Git, Linux and Confluence. Position will be headquartered in Austin, TX but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated
worksites throughout the United States.

Salary:  $309,800 - $352,200/year
