Chief Financial Officer

Are you an operationally focused, growth minded CFO with SaaS experience, ready to join our results-driven executive team? This role requires a dynamic leader to refine and evolve our financial strategy, provide thought leadership, architect our financial systems and metrics-based processes, and lead a high-caliber, multifunctional finance team. 

As the CFO you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of finance at Rockbot. You will direct the company's financial planning, spearhead strategic initiatives, and oversee all financial activities. You will also expand Rockbot's financial visibility, strengthen its financial health, develop robust budgeting and forecasting processes that consistently meet or exceed its targets, and increase the overall value of the company.

You will:

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
  • Partner with business leaders to model, forecast, and assess risk and return, providing critical financial insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration.
  • Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and updates to the board of directors and investors.
  • Lead debt management, refinancing, creating subsidiaries efforts and managing capital structure.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure the company's financial health and sustainability through prudent risk management.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, tax, and treasury.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to optimize financial performance.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.

You have:

  • 15–20+ years of finance and operations experience in leadership positions.
  • Extensive experience with SaaS and subscription models, particularly in reporting on recurring revenue, and experience in complex business models (hardware, IoT, advertising) with diverse revenue streams and margins.
  • High financial rigor with a strategic, operational and growth mindset.
  • Previous experience at a company growing 30-50% annually and continuously bringing new products to market.
  • Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, and analysis, including M&A activities (due diligence, financial modeling, and integration).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading financial operations to support and align with business objectives.
  • Strong focus on achieving results, setting and exceeding ambitious performance targets.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering relationships across the organization.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly under pressure, with sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in investment banking or as a stock analyst (preferred but not required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA a plus.

Compensation:

Rockbot takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location in the U.S. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The compensation band for this role is $250k - 320k + bonus, as well as equity, and benefits for all team members.
