Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Chief Estimator/IMS Scheduler to join our team! In this role you will get to be involved on a wide variety of estimation tasks on large-scale, complex projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
Interfaces with internal clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports.
Develop, maintain, and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for complex projects.
Integrate agile program planning into the IMS.
Integrate resource loading
Integrate Earned Value and agile practices.
Review SOO/SOW requirements aligned with IMS tasks to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and duplication across projects and opportunities.
Interview and proactively extract tasks and task lengths from multiple disparate engineers associated with projects and opportunities.
Identify, understand, and point out critical paths, margins, alternate paths, and slack within project schedules to be reported to executive leadership for decision making.
Provides leadership and capture teams with the necessary data for world-class project cost control.
Participates in the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected stakeholders.
Leads in the development, analysis, and evaluation development of project costs and performance forecasting..
Coordinates staffing requirements and supervises related bid work activities.
Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
May lead a staff who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report schedule status against an established baseline.
Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
Develops and manages an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; Keeps project and company management fully informed.
Supports business development and proposal efforts by gathering and presenting a variety of background data. Presentations may be of an informal or formal nature.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience) and typically 12+ years of experience in a lower-level Project Controls position is required, as well as 2years experience in a leadership capacity.
Experience with agile program execution and scheduling
Earned value management and associated scheduling practices
TS/SCI Clearance Eligible
