Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Chief Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to play a key role in business development, define requirements and quality control processes for an Engineering team focused on Electronic Security Systems, Utility Monitoring and Controls, and complex electrical systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Play a key role in capturing new work by serving as the technical expert in development of win themes, discriminators, and strategies.
  • Mentor/Advise the engineering efforts for all electronic security system installations, ensuring projects meet technical specifications, codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Conduct thorough design reviews and risk assessments for each project to identify potential issues before they arise.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions into overall project plans.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting electronic security systems.
  • Provide expert guidance on the selection of hardware and software components for custom solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including system designs, technical specifications, and maintenance protocols.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients during the consultation phase; effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to non-experts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations throughout project execution.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering with at least 3 years focused on electronic security systems (CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection).
  • Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing complex security solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to troubleshoot challenging problems effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of conveying technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of design requirements associated with work performed on HBU FPS, USACE ESS, and USACE UMCS.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • USACE Electronic Security System (ESS), Design certification
  • Certifications with the following systems (preferred) Honeywell - Vindicator (IDS/ACS), Bosch (IDS/VMS), Milestone, Hirsch - Identiv

Salary Range: 

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 30 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
