POSITION SUMMARY
The Department of Medical Education (DME) at the proposed Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine is recruiting an administrative faculty member to serve as Chair of DME. The successful candidate will provide leadership and strategic direction for the Department, oversee and manage departmental operations and administration, recruit and oversee the evaluation, mentoring and development of departmental faculty, and represent the Department's interests at the College and University levels. The Department Chair will lead an interdisciplinary team of educator scholars in developing and delivering an innovative osteopathic medical curriculum. Applicants are expected to merit the rank of associate or full professor.
The Chair will establish the Department's goals and objectives, manage faculty and staff, oversee the Department’s contributions to the curriculum, facilitate student advising and mentoring, develop internal and external partnerships, manage budgets and resources, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
The position is based on the Chicago, IL campus, with relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.
