The ConcertCare Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists and providers with medication-related functions, reporting, and processes.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Know and continually review medication brand and generic names, medical terminology, and pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Medication adherence outreach, auditing, documenting, and reporting as it pertains to STAR measures.
  • Assist in day-to-day tasks as needed and requested by market pharmacist or Sr Director, pharmacy.
  • Responsible for interacting with other departments to assist with member problems or questions and act as a facilitator to resolve them with regard to prior authorization or obtaining medications.
  • Attend scheduled team meetings and provide relevant feedback regarding workflow issues.
  • Assist clinical pharmacists in troubleshooting prescription third-party claim rejections by accessing and understanding formulary restrictions, plan limitations, drug utilization review overrides, requesting and completing prior authorization, and/or communicating with plan representatives and/or prescribers to resolve such issues.
  • Assist pharmacist with medication therapy management scheduling, pre-appointment preparation, and follow-up tasks for medication reconciliation/education.
  • Process select medication list updates/medication reconciliation requests as requested by the clinical pharmacist, including but not limited to adding or deleting medications, changing medication doses or other prescription details as indicated from the most recent medication list/prescriptions in preparation for a final check by provider or pharmacist, printing medication lists and after-visit summaries for patients and other responsible parties etc.
  • Responsible for initiating and following through with patient assistance programs to help patients afford their medications.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program.
  • Three or more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
  • Pharmacy Benefit Management experience preferred.
  • A current Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Tennessee is required.
  • National Certification is required.
  • Experience and/or ability to work with electronic health record systems.

Base Salary/ Wage Range $20.00 to $22.00 plus annual bonus. Compensation for the role is commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
