Job Description Summary:
Join Our Facility Coding Team!Logan Health is a growing health system located in Northwest Montana. We are looking for a remote Certified Facility Coder to join our team remotely!
What you bring:
You'll bring a strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices, along with at least two years of coding experience in an acute care (hospital/facility) setting. You must also hold anationally recognized coding certification, such as CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA, is required.
What you'll be doing:
In this role, you will assign and sequence ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 codes for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and emergency room records while ensuring accuracy for billing, reimbursement, and compliance. You’ll review medical records for DRG/APC assignment, verify charge accuracy, abstract clinical data, and collaborate with providers and hospital departments to ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
This is a fully remote position. To be eligible to work remotely for Logan Health, you must reside in one of the following states:

Applicants who reside outside of these states will not be considered.
Pay details: Pay for this position ranges from $20.66 per hour to $30.86 per hour depending on prior related experience.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of ICD 10 CM, ICD 10 PCS, and CPT 4 coding guidelines and practices required.
Minimum of two (2) years’ coding experience in an acute care (hospital/facility) required.
Nationally recognized coding certificate (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA) required.
Minimum of two (2) years’ work related experience with computer data entry and retrieval skills; to include: MS Office Suite and electronic medical record systems required. Must possess ability to learn other software as needed.
Thorough knowledge of classification and nomenclature anatomy, medical terminology, and health information management procedures and practices required.
Possess knowledge of acute and professional reimbursement guidelines.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
