Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (Children and Young Adult)

BABCP Accredited (Children & Young adult experience)

Nationwide (Remote)

Permanent: Full time/Part Time hours (minimum requirement of 2 days per week)

Competitive salary: £43,000 upwards

You will accept referrals from our UK insurance business and provide assessment and therapeutic interventions across a range of mental health conditions for children and young people (including interventions with adult caregivers as required) aged between 11 – 17 and liaise with relevant agencies or parties as required.

 

Working remotely for this role, you will be a first point of clinical contact for Children & Young People. You will provide a high quality, effective and safe mental wellbeing service via MS Teams.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Providing a high quality, effective and safe mental health and wellbeing service to children and young people using evidence-based practice
  • To deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention. To ensure a thorough assessment determines the most appropriate pathway of care and support for the client.
  • To provide different models of service delivery including telephone or video consultation, depending on client preference.
  • To adhere to sessional limits depending on the client’s monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance, whilst working towards therapeutic recovery goals.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Full BABCP accreditation
  • Experience in a similar role providing high intensity CBT interventions to children & Young persons and managing own caseload.
  • 2 years + experience in Children and Young People (CYP Mental Health) / CAMHS services
  • IT Skills including proficiency using Microsoft Systems as well as electronic medical record systems.
  • Safeguarding and robust risk assessment experience with children and young people is essential
  • Ability to present to groups and deliver training workshops also preferred
  • Right to work in the UK
