Catastrophe Planning and Logistics Manager

Are you ready to make a lasting impact during critical moments? We are looking for a dedicated Catastrophe Planning and Logistics Manager to lead efforts in delivering timely resources and services to AAA members and the ACE organization following disasters. By leveraging data, technology, and collaboration, you will streamline claims processes, mitigate risks, and provide legendary service when it matters most.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cohesive and synchronized logistics plans for catastrophe (CAT) response, ensuring both short- and long-term readiness.

  • Create and maintain efficient, transparent systems for procurement and delivery of goods and services essential for effective and timely disaster response.

  • Train and lead teams to effectively execute emergency operations.

  • Coordinate resources, personnel, and logistics in disaster-affected areas.

  • Continuously assess and improve disaster response strategies to enhance readiness and effectiveness.

  • Plan and coordinate exercises to enhance Claims department readiness and address potential limitations.

  • Manage and execute coordination, communication, tracking, and reporting for all Catastrophe Claims events.

  • Conduct catastrophe update calls with executive staff during disaster events, providing status updates and key event-specific data.

  • Work closely with internal and external partners to enable the CAT team to receive, store, and issue equipment and supplies during catastrophic events.

  • Develop transportation operations to efficiently distribute supplies, equipment, and services in response to disasters within the ACE footprint.

  • Act as the focal point for executing, integrating, and synchronizing multi-discipline logistics operations, ensuring alignment with organizational catastrophe response goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in disaster management, emergency response, or related fields.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and direct teams.

  • Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure during emergencies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for coordinating across diverse stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines, such as CEA, FEMA, and local and state government protocols.

  • Relevant certifications in emergency management or disaster recovery are preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under high-pressure scenarios.

  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for managing diverse teams and partners.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$117,600.00 - $156,400.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
