Maxar Space is seeking a Cash Analyst to work within our Accounting and FP&A Departments. This position, which can be supported remotely within the U.S., will support the cash reporting for the company and will oversee day-to-day Cash planning processes and execution of strategy to ensure forecast is achieved. Successful candidate will demonstrate cash detail knowledge that translates to accurate forecasting, monthly reporting and variance analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Support management to ensure accuracy in cash forecasting to include all collections and disbursements.
- Work with all functional areas to understand the movements and cause of cash changes including operations, contracts, supply chain, and operational finance
- Work with customers and vendors to ensure fluid relationship and understanding of payment terms and tracking
- Improve forecasting methodology for indirect and payroll cash impacted by intercompany transactions
- Perform monthly variance analysis for Cash, using this analysis to identify risk and opportunities
- Provide program and organization metrics to support decision making
- Support the monthly/quarterly financial reporting cycle both internally and for corporate reviews
- Ensure adequate internal controls are performed
- Build knowledge of the Maxar Space business, to become key financial business partner to Maxar organizations. Translate and interpret financial data into operational recommendations to improve and accelerate the business
- Assess the risks and opportunities of the forecasted plan to ensure accuracy of reporting of financial metrics
- Support preparation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP); Strategic Growth Plan (SGP)
- Provide ad hoc financial modeling and financial analysis
- Support special projects and process improvements
- Continually seek ways to improve and streamline processes with keen focus on automation to allow maximum efforts on strategic analysis and decision making
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- BS in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in a Financial Analyst role
- Experience with Excel and other MS office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Superior analytical skills, combined with excellent business judgment and strong ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management level personnel
- Experience with Tableau and/or Alteryx is a plus
- Active team player and works well under pressure
- Ability to manage and succeed by influence. Position will only one direct report but a broad working team within the segment.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
