The TVAP & Aspire Case Manager will provide Trafficking Victim Assistance Program (TVAP) and Aspire: Child Trafficking Victim Assistance Program services to qualified participants. TVAP & Aspire provide culturally and linguistically appropriate, comprehensive case management services to adult and minor foreign national survivors of trafficking. The position will report to the Trafficking Services Case Management Supervisor. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate case management services to foreign national adult and minor survivors of trafficking;
  • Carry a caseload of 15 to 25 TVAP cases at a time;
  • Complete individualized needs assessments with qualified participants, and develop case plans with particular attention to culture, language, and special circumstances;
  • Maintain a high standard of record-keeping according to USCRI policies and procedures.   
  • Provide information, education, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to ensure that each participant receives the services they require; 
  • Build a network of local pro bono resources and service providers to facilitate access for TVAP and Aspire participants, and track individual progress towards legal status and self-sufficiency; 
  • Provide information, education, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to ensure that each participant receives the services they require, including connection to public benefits with HHS Certification/Eligibility Letters; 
  • Coordinate and maintain communication with key stakeholders; 
  • Participate in regular training and communication sessions with supervisor and headquarters staff; and  
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters of Social Work with at least three years’ progressive experience, graduate level licensure 

(LMSW/LGSW) is preferred; 

  • Experience in social service provision for survivors of trafficking is desired;
  • Knowledge of trauma-responsive service provision and crisis intervention skills; 
  • Must be skilled at writing professional, thorough assessment reports
  • Must possess an extensive knowledge of immigrant community local resources;
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, a clean driving record, and personal transportation; 
  • Position requires up to 25 percent long distance travel with limited notice;
  • Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in additional languages a plus; 
  • Dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and displaced people; 
  • Candidate must pass a criminal background check; 
  • Possess or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification; and
