About the Role:
Care Navigation is the ultimate guide to Octave for our prospective clients. This role will contribute to Octave’s mission of expanding access by introducing clients to our innovative practice, and guiding them through the behavioral health landscape. They will be involved in interacting with clients immediately upon onboarding, navigating our tools to get them the most appropriate therapist match. We are seeking candidates with weekend and evening availability in the Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support our Live Chat service in order to quickly learn client’s needs and preferences, and identify the best therapist match with the goal of a scheduled appointment.
- Gain proficiency in our tools and workflows, especially when they evolve as we grow and scale, to successfully navigate our internal operations.
- Support our broader Care Navigation team with duties including, but not limited to, appointment updates, intake changes, and other administrative and scheduling tasks.
- Embody Octave’s mission to deliver extraordinary care in every interaction with clients and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred 1-2 years experience working in a Care Navigation/Coordination/Intake capacity, ideally within the mental health or healthcare arena.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related area or equivalent experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and can adapt your approach to multiple groups.
- Detail oriented and impeccable organizational skills are a must.
- Operational experience within a fast-growth healthtech organization is ideal.
- Self-starter, willing to roll up your sleeves and be proactive and solution oriented.
- Nimble and open to frequent change, iterative processes, and operating in a testing culture.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
- Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop.
- Move up to 10 pounds on occasion.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.
The hourly rate range is for zone 1 (all states not in zone 2 or zone 3) is $23.51 - $26.49.
The salary range for zone 2 (CO, HI, MD, RI) is $25.87 - $27.50.
The salary range for zone 3 (AK, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, WA) is $27.02 - $28.75.
Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.
