Job Summary
CDW-G’s existing contract portfolio includes agreements that facilitate significant revenue with strategic customers and the probability of winning may be relatively high given our relationship and incumbency.
A Capture Strategist will enable us to improve our win rate on strategic opportunities. This role will primarily work on Capture Sprints and Recompetes that are of strategic value to the business. This position will allow for proactive contract pursuit engagement to secure critical existing business and empower our sellers.
The Capture Strategist is expected to be an expert in contract research, summarizing findings, and supporting coworkers to ensure progress against laborious and/or complex response deliverables prior to RFP solicitation.
What you will do:
Proactive engagement with Sales, BD and Program Management to identify Capture opportunities and track recompetes
Researches the target customer and contract to understand customer priorities, response requirements, and evaluation criteria and process
Conducts research analyses to identify competition, as well as solution gaps and areas of opportunity
Coordinate response efforts for complex and/or tactical solicitation responses prior to ensure we can meet customer requirements for an effective and timely response
Tracks RFP progress toward the drop date and immediately mobilizes response team upon RFP release
Leverage understanding of customer and contracts to develop impactful messaging including win themes and differentiators to be incorporated into RFP response
Ensure CDW-G’s ability to address response requirements
Summarize and communicate contract and customer research to capture team stakeholders
Assist sales with capture consulting efforts (records requests, understanding customer contract portfolios, unsolicited proposal efforts)
Formally transfers response strategy, intel, and activity to Proposal Specialist
What we expect of you:
Bachelor's degree OR four years of relevant Sales or Business Development experience
One year of relevant Sales or Business Development experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
History of balancing multiple time-sensitive priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing
