We are seeking a CAD Technician II to join our team. This position will be remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce simple to complex, accurate maps, drawings, and schematics in accordance with company standards from various maps, sketches, data sources, and from verbal or written communication
  • Utilize Civil 3D to draft site plans, groundwater contour maps, geologic cross sections and other detailed maps relating to environmental projects
  • Develop site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, profiles and details
  • Work independently to prepare accurate, complete, and well-composed maps and figures
  • Assist with plan set assembly, distribution, and filing 
  • Meet deadlines and complete work within established project budgets
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, project managers and engineers

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Relative associate degree is preferred
  • Experience with using Civil 3D software is required
  • 1-3 years of experience performing drafting or design-related work with an environmental or civil engineering firm
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to work from various sources in the development of simple drawings with minimal guidance and complex drawings with some guidance
  • Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, and be self-motivated
  • Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as a technical designer
