Overview of Position

The Business Analyst will be focused on Oracle Financials and will be part of Oracle ERP team, responsible for understanding business requirements, building functional specifications, building reports, configuring Oracle Financial systems for business needs, understanding accounting implications, deploying and supporting Oracle financials modules, writing test scenarios, and performing quarterly update testing. 

II. Job Responsibilities

1. Support the Oracle Fusion Financial Cloud including, General Ledger, Accounts Payable (IDR), Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management during month end, quarter end and year end.
2. Triage the issue and engage team members in providing solutions during critical moments like month ends.
3. Pick and understand the incidents/cases in Jira and provide updates and solutions to Business team members with extra emphasis on accuracy and “completeness”.
4. Be the IT liaison to the Business Team. This will require good oral and written communication skills.
5. Be pro-active and understand severity of cases and keep stakeholders updated on sensitive issues.
6. Log Service Request with Oracle Support and follow up to closure.
7. Support the proactive closing process and make enhancements to improve the business. 
8. Understand the integration with Concur (our expense recording system) and resolve any issues. 
9. Perform Unit Testing, Integrated Testing and oversee User Acceptance Testing for all configuration changes.
10. Provide thorough documentation, like Statement of Procedures, Change Configuration documents, Playbooks, and Presentations for Proof of Concepts.

III. Scope

This is an individual contributor role supporting our Enterprise Applications team and our Finance and Accounting teams cross-functionally. 

IV. Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree Management Information System or Information Technology or Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3+ years Information Technology Experience.
• Hands-on 2 + years of experience in Oracle Fusion Financial Cloud including General Ledger (General Accounting), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Inter-company transactions
• Be able to build FRS and OTBI reports
• Supporting PBCS cubes
• Ability to learn quickly, be organized and detail oriented
• Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and changes
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to negotiate, influence and provide guidance in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience with working on SCM modules, Cost Management and Receipt Accounting
• Experience in Accounting and Finance
• Experience creating Adhoc queries using SQL scripts
