The Opportunity 

The Business Systems organization develops and maintains Flock’s internal SaaS platforms, enabling us to scale efficiently and deliver solutions in a high growth environment!  We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to focus on key systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and Coupa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business systems, experience with financial tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both stakeholders and technical teams. This position is essential in enabling our teams to scale operations and meet the growing needs of the business. Specifically, this person will play an integral role in ensuring the success of Finance-related improvements; helping to define detailed requirements, document system processes, and assist in reporting/analytics.

The Skillset 
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Business Systems Analyst, preferably in a fast paced, startup environment

  • Experience with ERPs (such as NetSuite) and Procure-to-Pay systems (such as Coupa) financial systems such as NetSuite, Coupa, or similar.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce administration and integrations.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Has a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn new things

  • Are motivated and self-driven, with a desire to take ownership of their work

  • Knowledge of operations and logistics processes a plus

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

  • Experience working in JIRA

The First 30 Days

  • Begin your onboarding

    • Familiarize yourself with company culture, values, and processes.

    • Gain access to all necessary systems and tools.

  • Meet your stakeholders:

    • Meet the key stakeholders you will be working with across Flock

    • Understand their current challenges, goals, and system dependencies.

  • Complete quick wins:

    • Assist in resolving small-scale, high-priority system issues by defining requirements and working with the systems team to deliver.

The First 60 Days 

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to document and validate detailed requirements.

    • Break down complex workflows into actionable steps.

  • Current State Analysis:

    • Develop a thorough understanding of existing systems and workflows.

    • Identify technical dependencies and opportunities for improvement.

  • Project Support:

    • Take ownership of a small project to deliver end-to-end.

    • Begin supporting technical teams in implementing solutions for prioritized tasks.

90 Days & Beyond 

  • Implementation & Delivery:

    • Continue partnering with technical teams to deliver on key initiatives.

    • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure stakeholder alignment.

  • Documentation & Training:

    • Create detailed documentation for implemented solutions.

    • Assist in user training and support to ensure smooth adoption.

  • Ongoing Collaboration:

    • Continue to execute on assigned projects, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and technical teams.

    • Identify and propose tactical improvements for recurring pain points.

The Interview Process

  1. Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are. 

  2. The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.

  3. The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners. 

  4. The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more. 

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between  $79,000 and $108,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
