The Opportunity:

As a Business Systems Analyst in the Technology Operations Engineering team at Sephora, you will interface directly with all levels of the organization, with a primary focus on the Technology Operations Engineering domain. Reporting to the Senior Director, Infrastructure Engineering, you will influence and lead the execution of the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of best-in-class Tech Ops Engineering solutions.

Your role will be instrumental in delivering the next-generation Applications and Systems solutions for multiple domains. You will be key to driving the evolution of legacy systems by evaluating tools, improving processes, and identifying opportunities for product improvements and enhancements to meet the critical needs of our enterprise users.

In addition to designing, delivering, and maintaining high-quality business systems solutions, you will also contribute to multiple software projects throughout the entire development cycle. You will apply project management methodologies, develop expertise in one or several business areas, and deliver enhancements and contribute to small-scale technology projects.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Actively participating in the development of the product strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis for your domains.
  • Developing strong partnerships with multiple business teams and leaders, gaining understanding of key goals and impacts.
  • Creating crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to enhance our products and features.
  • Serving as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to analyze, understand, and document current-state and/or similar business process models and business requirements.
  • Evaluating and articulating technical requirements and identifying impact, risk and benefit of alternative solutions.
  • Developing BRD/BPDs/functional specifications for new systems, systems changes and/or system enhancements.
  • Configuring system settings and options; Planning and facilitating user demos/testing and creating specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
  • Taking a leadership role in project management activities, including estimating, developing, and monitoring project plans for medium-sized projects, often spanning multiple application areas.
  • Managing, tracking, and facilitating multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to completion.
  • Capture, Publish, and Follow-up on meeting notes, action items, and other inter team communications
  • Providing 3rd level post-implementation support to business users with a strong client service.
  • Demonstrating the ability to self-manage multiple projects within tight timeframes and dynamic priorities.
  • High aptitude for interpreting technical documentation as well as authoring or updating documents including help desk run books.
  • Facilitating and providing documentation to support Training.

We would love to hear from you if..

  • 2+ years of related experience as a Business Systems Analyst, having contributed to multiple software projects throughout the entire development cycle.
  • Domain expertise in Service Now, JIRA, and Confluence platforms
  • Strong attention to detail; superior follow-up skills and be result oriented with effective oral / written communications ability.
  • Strong analytical skill to devise solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to and influencing executive-level management.   
  • Effective at building consensus across the organization.
  • Proven track record in meeting deadlines and delivering successfully.
  • Be a life-long learner with a high just in time learning capability.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to work independently with “make it happen” attitude; able to successfully operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Agile and flexible with regards to changing priorities and business needs and in working with diverse teams and people.
  • Demonstrated leadership of direct and/or indirect teams

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,990.00 - $123,400.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
