About the Team

The Virtus from FIS Business Analyst team is involved in a variety of enterprise projects to support capital markets, including system integrations, new business functionalities, and feature enhancements.  We facilitate new client onboarding, encompassing trade ingestions, report customizations, SFTP setups, etc.  We are also responsible for scoping out business requirements and documentation for analysis, testing, and production deployment.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Work with development team to analyze business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
  • Identify and document business strategies and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct a variety of functionality tests such as system, integration, readiness, and acceptance tests.
  • Report and review testing results and ensure changes made by programmers are correct and aligned with sprint objectives.
  • Re-engineer processes to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Monitor service/Jira tickets for resolution and follow up, assisting the development team with any backlog.
  • Consider business implications of application technology to the current business environment.
  • May mentor, guide, advise and/or check the work of less experienced business systems analysts.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, information systems, related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Typically, at least 3 or more years' business systems analysis experience, preferably within the asset management industry.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry and an understanding of end-to-end software development life cycles.
  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of Jira or similar agile, project management tool.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to capture and document business and technical requirements.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
  • Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.

Added Bonus If You Have:

  • Experience with Agile or scaled Agile framework.
  • Understanding of CLOs, CDOs, and/or restructures.
  • Familiarity with CDO Suite, Solvas, or similar trust system.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, computer science, or related field.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $80,960.00 - $131,960.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
