This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective solutions for group claims insurance operations. You'll optimize workflows by leveraging your knowledge of claims while ensuring compliance and efficiency. Additionally, you'll develop test plans, create training materials, and support internal teams, all while managing tasks in an agile, fast-paced environment.

 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):   
    • Business Systems Analyst I: $24.00 - $28.00, plus annual bonus opportunity.  
    • Business Systems Analyst II: $57,500 - $68,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.   
    • Business Systems Analyst III: $66,500 - $80,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.   
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide administration and production support of Fineos by monitoring and responding to Jira tickets in the queue: reviewing tickets, managing and resolving issues.    
  • Create documentation throughout the project lifecycle including taking concise meeting notes, assisting in gathering and analyzing requirements and assisting with implementation.   
  • Assist with creation of test plans, test scripts, and performs manual or automated testing for enhancements, upgrades and on-going maintenance to ensure that business, technical, and functional requirements are being met.   
  • Communicate and present information effectively, both through written communications and verbally.   
  • You will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge of Workplace Solutions, work with diverse teams and have exposure to leadership.   

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Understanding of the business and technical processes needed to meet or exceed business objectives including familiarity with Agile/Scrum.   
  • Exposure to business analysis/project management techniques, processes and tools.   
  • Ability to organize and deliver tasks and projects in a timely manner.  
  • Detail-oriented, clear communication skills, both written and verbal.   
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.   
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.  

PREFERRED:

  • Disability or other type of Insurance Claims handling experience 
  • Prior experience working with Mutual of Omaha’s Workplace Solutions systems and business processes. 
  • Two or more years of experience in business analysis, project management, or similar capacities, including Agile or Scrum experience.   
  • Experience writing business and technical requirements to guide code changes.   
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBOK)
