ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF):

Job Summary

Business Service Officer oversees a portfolio of Business Banking clients reporting to Commercial Onboarding and Servicing (COS) to within an assigned market. The BSO will serve as a primary point of contact within the Business Banking Segment and drive servicing execution. The primary objective of the role is to lead the delivery of a premium client experience and value through timely, quality resolution of client service requests and proactive client outreach and support, while managing and mitigating Bank and Client risk.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists in all aspects of client servicing for customer relationships within assigned portfolio.
  • Client’s first point of contact for customer service issues, assisting the client in navigating the bank. 
  • Handles inquiries in an efficient and timely manner. Solves customer problems, taking full ownership of client needs through resolution, managing any roadblocks.
  • Knowledge of Bank’s financial relationship with clients (i.e., depository relationship, loans, leases, etc.) and proficiently accesses all information pertaining to such, and address client’s questions or concerns.
  • Understands core deposits and cash management products and affects set- up of all client deposit products, including account opening and maintenance.
  • Understands loan and lease products and drives all customer service related to these products. 
  • Take a proactive role in customer retention.
  • Partners with sales team in portfolio management actives. 
  • Act as liaison between internal fraud group and clients. 

Business Service Officer REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1- 5 years of experience in banking or financial services
  • Direct work experience with business banking clients and associated products, or equivalent experience
  • General to working knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, active listening and problem resolution.
  • Great PC skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) and navigation of Internet
  • Strong organization and follow up skills.
  • Preferred Salesforce experience

Sr Business Service Officer REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years experience in banking or financial services
