BASIC FUNCTION:

The Business Process Architect plays a key role to drive the realization of Association strategies and investments while positively influencing customer and employee experience. Performs complex analysis; designs, configures, and implements Business process improvements, methodologies, standards, and templates. Evaluates changes to workflow and provides recommendations for business capabilities and system enhancements including the use and availability of data to support business capabilities and processes.  Works collaboratively with Association Architects to align and enhance process solutions to business capabilities, data strategy, organizational structure, and system architecture.   Works closely with counterparts in technology delivery to align technical solutions with business needs. The Business Architect may have supervisory responsibility, possibly acting as coach and mentor to junior members of Process Architecture. The Business Process Architect works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.

This role requires the ability to form deep relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; active listening and communication skills; abstract technical problem solving; ability to influence and drive consensus across a diverse set of stakeholders and decision makers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Implements a lean process architecture approach and methodology to ensure alignment with Association strategy where customer and business needs are met.  

  • Leads the facilitation of process solutions across the organization, collaborating with business leads, subject matter experts and technology teams to prioritize and deliver solutions that align with the company’s mission and strategic goals.

  • Facilitates and collaborates with teams and stakeholders across the Association in challenging assumptions about current processes and creating new, more efficient, and effective processes.  Works to eliminate silos and ensure cohesive solutions that encompass all viewpoints.

  • Analyzes business processes to help understand and manage the current environment, controls, identify gaps, pain points, duplications, overlaps and redundancies and recommend solutions for improvement.

  • Makes process design recommendations to enhance workflows and improve quality based on root cause analysis, which may result in technology changes by evaluating current practices, process methodology, standards, and templates.

  • Utilizes data and tools to measure impact of changes

  • Performs process mapping, process documentation management, and business requirement gathering.

  • May collaborate with external parties and vendors to bring efficient and leading-edge processes into the Association to solve customer and business needs.

  • Trains and guides stakeholders and staff in process and continuous improvement techniques.

  • Perform other functions that may be assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance

  • The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies, and cross-silo redundancies.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations

  • The ability to act as liaison conveying needs or constraints of the business as it relates to technology and data; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and work flow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery

  • Business acumen and ability to understand business unit operations quickly and accurately

  • The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues

  • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate, or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business

  • The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the process architecture

  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities

  • Experience with program management concepts, project management and implementation techniques, process re-engineering and change management.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio. Ability to adapt to new technology.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPEERINCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Leadership, or related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (L-6S) or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

  • Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPMN)

  • 3+ years of related experience performing similar functions.

  • Experience with Automated Processes, Process Mining or RPA desired.

  • Practical understanding of application of enterprise design patterns

  • General understanding or experience working in an Agile Scrum environment

  • Breadth in established and emerging software technologies

LEVELS OF SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED:

Works under general direction of the Head of Process Architecture.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to perform basic office tasks and work in a typical office setting. Employee will be sitting for extended periods of time and accomplishing work at a desk and work at a computer for an extended period. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to adequately convey ideas and work well with a team. Ability to talk and hear, sit, and use their hands and fingers, and reach in all directions is essential in performance of the job. Some lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds required.  Work during established business hours and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Position requires the ability to travel.

FULL-TIME REMOTE: These roles and job functions can be done remotely, while maintaining our strong commitment to customer service and our business goals. Employees are welcome to come to an office to work if needed, and some travel for team meetings will be required.

PAY RANGE:

Minimum $100,072.03 - Max $170,122.45 Annual

This range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
