The opportunity

The Business Intelligence Analyst reports to the Director of Business Analytics. You will develop business and operational metrics, reporting, and analysis that allow student-facing departments to focus on the success of every student. The Business Intelligence Analyst collaborates with the analytics team members and internal business clients to provide relevant insights. This role can be 100% remote for those residing in our approved working states. #LI-Remote

What You'll Do:

  • You will gather and analyze data from multiple databases and other sources to perform single-variate analyses regarding business and operational trends.
  • You will present qualitative and quantitative analyses to partners, including recommendations.
  • You will use story-telling skills to deliver insights that are clear.
  • You will work with partners to interpret analysis results with a focus on relevant next steps.
  • You will develop and/or maintain reports to support analytics.
  • You will advise and assist our partners in determining the appropriate analytical methodologies to address business questions/problems/goals.
  • You will provide consultation, training and technical assistance to internal clients.
  • You will design and help implement process improvement projects.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Six+ years experience working in a data-driven business environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, data analytics, or related field.
  • Highly proficient using Microsoft Excel.
  • Design rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas.
  • Experience report building and working directly with partners from initial request on through deployment.

Additional Experience With:

  • Master's degree.
  • 1+ years of higher education industry/sector experience.
  • Experience with Power BI and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
  • Experience working in an environment that follows security and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of higher education financial aid policies and regulations.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $75,528.00 - $120,865.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $83,457.00 - $112,912.00.
