About the Team/Role

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be a key member of the Risk Products organization and is primarily responsible for implementing data-driven processes, models, and analytics. The employee is part of a Global Risk Analytics team chartered with the modernization, improved scale and development of key data-driven processes to enrich the risk management of WEX operations. This role contributes directly to the organization’s mission of developing and maintaining robust risk frameworks supporting WEX’s revenue and credit loss objectives.  We are looking for a collaborative player who is able to source data from an AWS/Snowflake technology stack and architect data streams to build Fraud models, enable insights and install process optimizations. 

How you'll make an impact

  • Connecting the dots between business problems and data to produce innovative, data-driven solutions
  • Leveraging analytics and Risk Models to drive operational improvements in Fraud Detection.  This includes Global KPI’s and root cause analysis
  • Design and Implementation of data driven strategies that transform processes to enable efficiency and scale
  • Partner with Data Scientists to build Machine Learning models to solve Risk problems
  • Engage with Corporate Technology and Analytics teams to design scalable Data architectures
  • Build Subject Matter Expertise in one or more of the functional areas of the Risk organization, beginning with Fraud
  • Through analysis and understanding, deliver insights to the organization that optimize revenue and risk
  • Establish a Fraud model framework, defining inputs and outputs
  • Design a to-be process that enables real time fraud detection and optimized downstream evaluation of fraud alerts
  • Evaluate and establish an improvement plan of internal and external data for fraud detection
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders

Experience you'll bring 

  • BS or MS degree in relevant area (Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Data Science); or commensurate experience
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Solutions
  • Experience with Fraud, and Fraud Systems
  • Experience in a Global Company focusing on Technology, Payments Technology or Software Development is desirable
  • Operations and Industrial Engineering training / certification preferred
  • Data Management Skills (SQL, Data Lake, Tableau, SnowFlake, Python, etc)
  • Data Architecture Skills
  • Possess modeling and data architecture expertise
  • Possess data creativity - if desired variables are unavailable, identifying proxies as business substitutes
  • Excel at detailed execution
  • Have a vision for systematic process innovation and how to enable scale through Data Transformation
  • Be highly collaborative and engaging, willing to drive execution
  • Deliver results on-time in a fast-paced complex environment

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Pay Range: $67,000.00 - $89,000.00 Apply
