Position Summary

 

This position serves as the primary point of contact for generating Pharma product sales of manufactured and distributed products from new and existing customers, including innovators and manufacturers within the pharmaceutical industry.
 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Developing new sales opportunities across products, customers, suppliers, and markets to achieve or exceed company sales and profit targets.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers to position Actylis as the preferred supplier.
  • Effectively presenting Actylis’ solutions and value propositions to customers.
  • Identifying customer needs, providing appropriate alternatives, and proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Confidently engaging in both scientific and financial discussions with customers.
  • Preparing and maintaining an annual forecast for the product portfolio and providing other forecasts as needed.
  • Documenting customer interactions through detailed call reports in Salesforce.
  • Maintaining business leads and opportunities effectively and timely in Salesforce. 
  • Collaborating closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure smooth transactions and high customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating with Quality, Regulatory and Traffic teams to ensure all products and shipments comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Seeking efficiencies within the department, particularly in information sharing.
  • Supporting Accounts Receivable in resolving disputes and recovering overdue payments.
  • Representing the organization in industry and trade associations to promote Actylis’ offerings.

 

The base salary range for the position of Business Development Manager is $140,000 - $175,000 per year. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity and other factors as permitted by law.

Required Experience & Knowledge

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in a business-to-business sales environment, with a proven track record of growing sales.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

 

This position is remote (work from home).  Up to 35% travel is expected.
