Job Summary

Kensington is seeking a dynamic and strategic Mid-East Coast Business Development Manager for K-12. In this role, you will enhance Kensington’s market position and drive sales growth by working with both existing and new customers. Your focus will be on K-12 schools and school districts, supporting long-term organizational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, and identifying and securing key business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth in the K-12 sector within your territory, including product positioning and deep engagement with key decision makers.
  • Identify and develop pipeline opportunities within the K-12 market to meet company growth expectations.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track, develop, and close pipeline opportunities.
  • Arrange meetings between customer decision makers and Kensington product management.
  • Attend K-12 tradeshows within your territory and host roundtables with key K-12 representatives.
  • Collaborate closely with reseller representatives to identify new K-12 opportunities.
  • Suggest and present new product needs to the product management team.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and ensure data is correctly entered and managed within Salesforce.
  • Work closely with the internal Kensington team to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or any related field is required
  • Minimum of 5 years in sales or marketing with K-12 customers.
  • Strong networking, persuasion, and prospecting skills.
  • Excellent public speaking, research, and writing abilities.
  • Proven closing skills and motivation for sales.
  • Proficient in sales planning, identifying customer needs and challenges, and territory management.
  • In-depth market knowledge and ability to meet sales goals.
  • High level of professionalism and proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office.
  • Travel: Up to 70% travel required.

Salary Range:  $80,000 - $85,000
