Our Business Development Team will be key partners for our [Microsoft] clients, bringing forward go-to-market (GTM) ideas and strategies.  This includes building lists of sales leads, then pitching to prospects to build the company’s client list.  The BDM helps facilitate growth opportunities and creates strategies to support the success of Designit, helping it achieve organizational goals while increasing revenue.  This role will expand into new markets by locating new business opportunities, researching leads, establishing relationships with potential clients, and arranging appointments for sales executives. 

We are looking for an additional BDM that has a comprehensive understanding of Designit’s products and market positioning and has experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem.  It’s necessary for this individual to be up to date with the latest industry developments by researching agency/corporate competitors.  This role will be helping to guide our clients to solve their business challenges by applying thought leadership and solution services deemed appropriate for their business. Collaborating with key team members across disciplines to deliver the highest quality work will be vital.

Would you like to...

  • Research prospective clients in targeted markets, pursing leads and constructing agreements
  • Assess the company’s target market and industry and develop strategies to gain new clients
  • Collaborate with department leads and client services team to bring forward latest offerings and capabilities
  • Identify new prospects within the industry and prepare detailed sales presentations
  • Maintain and grow assigned portfolio with an annual revenue target of $3M
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with your clients by understanding their ecosystem and business goals
  • Act as trusted advisor for any questions, challenges, escalations
  • Leverage CRM database (Salesforce) to manage sales cycle and build pipelines
  • Create proposals and SOWs to drive account growth, facilitate client presentations to promote capabilities, and leads presentations and communication to senior and executive level audiences on projects
  • Collaborate with portfolio PM’s / PMO, work to create estimates with the team for client approval and approves client invoices
  • Manages monthly revenue forecasts, and plans for future development of the account
  • Responsible for achieving client KPIs and ensuring overall positive client satisfaction

We would like you to have...

  • 5+ years of sales, consulting, and/or agency experience or client services with enterprise customers
  • Experience across full sales cycle and proven background converting leads to opportunities with Salesforce background
  • Ability to establish yourself as an industry expert, acknowledge business challenges clients may be facing, empathize, and educate them about solutions by explaining benefits
  • Proven ability to work independently, run with ambiguity, and thrive in change
  • Executive communications, engagement, and influential presence
  • Understanding of Microsoft ecosystem, business needs, challenges, and internal organizational structure
  • Strong financial understanding, and experience pricing, pitching, and winning incremental business
  • Approachable demeanor and ability to build rapport/trust with prospects
  • Diplomatic in providing a strong POV and at times, having hard conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to understand how to run business and commercial models (including, but not limited to, portfolio management, P&L influence, business planning)

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $120,000

*This role comes with additional bonus commensurate to the level of the role in the organization.

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity. This role comes with a variable pay component based on performance.
