Business Development Manager - Data Centers (Remote)

Job Description

The Business Development Manager for the Cooling Influencer Channel is responsible for the development and acceleration of sales within the Climate Solutions product portfolio by creating pull demand from key influencers that specify equipment from our OEM customers for use in data center applications. The target segments within the Influencer Channel include End Users, MEP firms and consulting firms, data center owners, and new equipment manufacturers building equipment for Data centers. As a business development manager, you will work in close cooperation with the OEM sales, application engineers, and marketing team to achieve success. The role reports directly to the OEM Sales Director, North America.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for the growing demand for Climate Solution products via favorable specifications downstream of our OEM customer equipment distribution channels.
- Seamless working relationship with Danfoss OEM sales teams
- Identification of key influencers within specific target markets and formulation of effective strategies for winning favorable specifications and/or approvals.
- Creation of Danfoss total solution value propositions based on needs of the influencer and place in the decision-making channel, able to differentiate value of our solution based on individuals position in the decision channel.
- Capable of impactful lead generation and follow-up within target sales channels.
- Develop and maintain action plans for key influencer targets within a dynamic market
- Maintain and review relevant opportunities in Salesforce - both directly owned & shared
- Generate sales and demand forecasts that represent business plans and conditions
- Coordinate sales and support activities with application engineers as needed
- Obtain and communicate key industry, segment, and competitor trends
- Participate and network at important industry-related events that provide access to key influencers.
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
· 5+ years' experience in OEM or capital equipment sales, technical business development, and/or marketing.
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Technical Aptitude is a must.
· Creative thinker, analytically capable and action-oriented
· Ability to focus on effective actions for accomplishing goals in a matrix environment facing multiple priorities
