Business Development Lead

We are seeking a Business Development Lead (i.e. Founding BDR/SDR) to join our team at Alby. This role is ideal for a driven and ambitious professional with 1-2 years of experience in outbound lead generation. As the founding member of our business development team, you will be instrumental in identifying and engaging potential customers through various channels, including LinkedIn, phone, and email. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your career within a dynamic and fast-growing organization, with the potential to transition into sales or customer success/support roles in the future.

NOTE: This is a full-time position based in New York (Dumbo, Brooklyn), with an expected in-person presence of 3+ days per week.

🏗 What You Will Do

🛠 Lead Generation & Outbound Outreach

  • Proactively identify and engage potential customers using LinkedIn, phone calls, and email campaigns.

  • Schedule meetings and product demonstrations with qualified leads for the sales team.

  • Develop and refine outreach strategies to optimize engagement and conversion rates.

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and follow-ups in our CRM (HubSpot).

📚 Market Research & Strategy Development

  • Conduct market research to identify new target markets and industry trends.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and promotional strategies.

  • Provide feedback to the product team based on customer interactions and market insights.

📈 Process Development & Team Collaboration

  • Develop and optimize processes for lead generation and tracking, ensuring a streamlined workflow.

  • Create scalable templates and scripts for outreach, maintaining consistency and professionalism.

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to customer acquisition.

  • Contribute to team meetings with insights and suggestions for improving business development strategies.

  • You are a motivated, goal-oriented professional eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.

  • You have 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.

  • You are proficient in using LinkedIn and phone for outreach, with a proven track record of booking meetings and generating leads.

  • Experience with HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a significant advantage.

  • You possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal abilities.

  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
