Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned individual to join our (domain) team as a Business Data Steward, reporting to (leader). As a key member of McAfee’s data team, you will be responsible for managing, defining, and reporting metrics for (domain). This role requires a deep understanding of:

Business requirements development
Metric definition and analysis
Data analysis
Data quality


This is a Remote position located in the United States We are only considering candidates located in the United States and are not providing relocation at this time.

About the role:

    • Define and manage metric business requirements (including adding, changing, or deleting requirements)
    • Develop top level metric requirements from a business standpoint and enter definitions into the data dictionary
    • Provide expertise on systems and operational processes to fully define and maintain master data values  
    • Create and validate requirements for mappings/translations based on master values
    • Monitor the datasets to identify when significant changes are made
    • Align with Data Domain Product Owners to certify curated data
    • Conduct data analysis and reporting for business as required
    • Liaise with Technical Data Stewards for data requirements and analytical table needs and defines business metrics for technical implementation

    About you: 

    • Bring 2+ years of experience in data analysis, requirements definition, and data management
    • We would prefer someone to have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, analytics, business, or related field
    • Have hands-on experience with and understanding of the following:
      • Business analysis
      • Requirements definition
      • Metrics development
      • SQL/SparkSQL
      • Data profiling
      • Data dictionary development
      • Data cataloging
      • Data visualization tools such as PowerBI
