Business Case Support Analyst, Health Care

Job Description

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is seeking a Business Case Support Analyst to work in our Health Care division. In this role, you will actively analyze, manage, and provide tactical and strategic expertise to the portfolio(s) of initiatives and projects. Assist in the development of business cases for healthcare value to support the Cost of Care Team and Initiative Owners for all opportunities pursued by the Healthcare Value sub workstream.

What You'll Do:

• This role will assist initiative support the Business Case Modeling & Support Team as well as initiative owners in the Healthcare Value sub workstreams with building and reviewing operational expense needs and benefits (medical expense savings reduction and risk revenue improvement) in the financial models that will go before the Transformation Office and Steering Committee

• Support a collaborative approach with the healthcare value sub-workstreams towards identifying and achieving cost savings with sufficient return on investments and clear business cases demonstrating the need and ROI.

• Assist in the development of reports to help identify opportunities for cost savings and new ideation to share with Cost of Care Portfolio Managers and Accountable Function Partners.

• Working with other areas of the company to review and assess business cases for potential healthcare savings such as vendor engagements.

• Helping to identify cost-saving opportunities in business cases

• Assist in securing the data from actuary, finance, vendors, and initiative owners for all financials inputs to WAVE for the Healthcare Value workstream to ensure timely and accurate financials to assist the enterprise in long term financial planning.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets,  licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
