We are hiring a Business Analyst-Remote. 

The Business Analyst will focus on defining requirements and acceptance criteria to improve processes, products, services, and software through data analysis. The Business Analyst will facilitate cross-functional departmental communication and interactions between Technology and the Business to improve system efficiencies. Assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver recommendations to stakeholders. Interpret business requests by understanding what the systems need to do, how do they do it, identify and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders, and obtain acceptance criteria alignment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Area of system focus will be on Jurisdictional needs for accurate and timely reporting and data access in collaboration with State Compliance, State Relations, and Legal teams by interpreting business needs into specific deliverables and tracking to completion.

2. Leadership

a. Identifies opportunities for improving business processes and using technology to eliminate problems that affect productivity, output, distribution and ultimately, the bottom line.

b. Serves as a liaison between Business teams and Technology to provide systems support and analysis and to leverage technology solutions to meet business needs.

c. Prioritizes work in collaboration with Leadership and resolves SRM related user support issues, coordinating with Technology and Business teams when appropriate.

d. Researches capabilities of current applications and systems and evaluates whether functionality exists that is not yet implemented that would benefit current and future business needs.

e. Creates detailed business requirements analysis to recommend business process enhancements as it relates to SRM systems based on stakeholder input. Continually evaluates, establishes, and implements initiatives to streamline and automate processes.

f. Maintain excellent system knowledge and knowledge of current and emerging industry trends.

g. Author and/or update process documentation as required.

3. Collaboration and Communication

a. Develops a very good understanding of the business domain with superb “people person” skills and exceptional communication skills to develop meaningful stakeholder relationships.

b. Understands the needs of multiple stakeholders and facilitates the negotiation of requirements amongst them.

c. Identifies the current- and assist with implementing future-state business processes.

d. Assists the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to change to improve and support the future.

e. Maintains active and close communication and collaboration with Leadership and SRM Team.

f. Partners with business owner(s) on requirements, understanding and communicating the success criteria, and how technology can advance the business.

g. Engages with business leaders and users to understand how data-driven changes to processes, products, services, software, and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value.

h. Clearly articulates recommendations balancing them against what's technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable in addition to understanding how recommendations could affect other business aspects/departments/processes.

i. Works to improve products, tools, software, services, or processes.

j. Creates detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for the Business.

k. Assists with budgeting and forecasting as necessary.

4. Problem Solving, Execution and Management

a. Attention to detail and processes are critical.

b. Identifies, analyzes, and reports data trends, and be able to share that information with others and apply it on the business side.

c. Prioritizes, monitors, and manages results through planning, attention to detail, and decision making.

d. Provides end user support to include problem determination, resolution, and training.

e. Ability to manage multiple projects/business needs from beginning to implementation.

5. All other duties as assigned.  

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years Business Analyst or related experience demonstrating progressive knowledge and growth in responsibilities.
