Overview

LMI is seeking a Business Analyst to support a critical product development effort with the US Department of Agriculture and Federal Emergency Management Agency. The Business Analyst will support the development and refinement of Agile product requirements for the Salesforce-based product, ensuring tactical alignment with the strategic roadmap. This role focuses on collaborating across UI/UX, technical, and business domains to execute detailed requirements gathering and analysis, to deliver high-quality specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business and system requirements. 
  • Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable Agile product requirements and user stories. 
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and ensure traceability from requirements to delivery. 
  • Facilitate iterative modeling sessions to identify workflows and refine requirements. 
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritizing tasks based on project goals and stakeholder input. 
  • Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups. 
  • Analyze change requests and manage the impact on existing requirements and priorities. 
  • Develop and maintain a data dictionary and enterprise resource diagrams. 
  • Ensure all requirements adhere to enterprise governance and best practices. 
  • Provide support in testing phases, including creating test cases and validating requirements. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or similar roles.
  • Industry standard certification in Agile requirements analysis, business analysis, product ownership, etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Salesforce Administrator or Business Analyst certification.
  • SAFe certification.
  • Human centered design certification (e.g., Luma, IDEO, etc.).
  • Experience working in government or disaster recovery programs.
  • Exposure to Mulesoft integration or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and user-centered design.
  • Proficiency in data modeling and reporting tools.

Target salary range: $70,000 - 90,000.
