With minimal supervision, leads client business studies, ensuring business needs are met within set timelines and budgets. Identifies client requirements and collaborates with the project team to deliver solutions that align with these needs, and consults occasionally with product team, working directly with subject matter experts. Additionally, trains client users on system functionality, and creates documentation for new enhancements, including Aura online help materials.

Under limited supervision, serve as liaison between external customers and support services AURA. Assists with IT changes and is responsible for incidents and service requests associated with application operations and/or client project activity. Help drive resources towards operational results in the areas of systems, platforms and applications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet with clients to understand and document the clients’ business needs in the form of formal requirements and/or use cases; while ensuring the solution supports all affected business units working within the existing product functionality when at all possible

  • Manage the expectations and priorities of clients and work with them, to negotiate design aspects that will meet or exceed their needs while considering the impact to AURA Technologies’ core software.

  • Work within the constraints of time, cost, scope and quality. Document workflow using project management tools. Ensure on-going communication and positive working relationship with clients throughout the project life cycle.

  • Develop test scenarios and test cases as well as assist with review of client data to determine the validity of the data, which includes negotiating possible solutions to problems, offering suggestions to the client, and recommending needed changes to the system. Act as subject matter expert.

  • Create and monitor specifications and requirements for internal/external project members.

  • Interact with Product Management to document and submit client requested enhancements following formal procedures.

  • Act as Tier 2 escalation for client questions/incidents as assigned, following all processes for documenting issues, communicating with clients, and time reporting.

  • Provide subject matter expertise for Aura Online user manual documentation and for creating well-structured client specific documentation following AURA Technologies’ standards.

  • Participate in multiple projects simultaneously, appropriately balancing priorities and deliverables.

  • Develop and complete special projects as assigned.

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience

  • 2-5 years Life Insurance Industry related experience, and in a role such as Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, etc.

Preferred:

  • 5+ years Information Technology related experience

  • LOMA Certification; ARA Designation

  • Experience using VISIO or similar project management software tool

  • Reinsurance industry experience

  • Basic Word, intermediate Excel and SQL/Query skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge.

  • Intermediate level of investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Intermediate ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

  • Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects

  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives

  • Intermediate ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions

  • Basic skills in customer relationship management

  • Ability to balance multiple projects or teams and set applicable goals

  • Basic negotiating and persuasion skills

  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

  • General business knowledge

  • Ability to train internal associates and external clients on system capabilities and processes

  • Ability to develop requirement documents and user stories.

  • Ability to read, review and understand XML output.

  • Intermediate data analysis skill

  • Ability to travel as required (up to 25%)

Compensation Range:

$76,100.00 - $108,050.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
