Business Analyst (Puerto Rico)

ICF is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Analyst to join our team. This position is located in Puerto Rico and requires the ability to travel around the island to meet with clients and stakeholders.  Commutable to our Guaynabo, PR, ICF office for essential meetings.

The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity. This role involves conducting thorough research, gathering data, and working alongside both technical teams and business units to ensure seamless integration of proposed solutions. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong communication skills. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Requirements Gathering: Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather and document requirements, and translate them into functional specifications. 

  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current processes and workflows and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency. 

  • Data Analysis: Analyze business data to provide actionable insights, trends, and reports to inform decision-making. 

  • Collaboration with IT and Development Teams: Work with technical teams to ensure that business requirements are accurately reflected in system enhancements or solutions. 

  • Project Management Support: Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and overseeing project timelines and deliverables. 

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors to facilitate effective communication and ensure that projects meet business needs. 

  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation including business cases, use cases, and workflow diagrams. 

  • Testing and Validation: Assist in user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet the defined requirements and provide ongoing support during the implementation phase. 

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and methodologies and recommend best practices to improve organizational processes. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or related field. 

  • 5 years of experience in a business analyst role or related field. 

  • 4 years of experience with data analysis and business process improvement techniques. 

  • 4 years of experience in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar). 

  • Remote position, located in Puerto Rico, or willing to relocate to Puerto Rico, and able to travel to visit clients, stakeholders and essential meetings at the ICF office in Guaynabo, PR, ICF.

  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish languages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. 

  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello) is a plus. 

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies is an advantage.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$70,700.00 - $120,190.00
