The Data and Content Management (DCM) and Innovation, Privacy and Policy (IPP) divisions within Technology and Innovation provides information management advice and support, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy support and advisory services, data analytics, data governance, data economy, as well as the implementation of the Government of Alberta (GoA) Data Strategy.

Role Responsibilities

As the Business Advisor, you will provide a variety of business analysis and project management services to support the objectives of the DIPS division. Ensuring best practices and standards are integrated into business processes that meet current and future business requirements. 
 
The following are key functions this position provides expertise to:

  • Planning, development, advising and reporting on divisional strategic, operational, financial plans.
  • Coordination of divisional operational plans.
  • Management of divisional contracts and the RFP process.
  • Supports the continuous improvement for service delivery.

 
Through close collaboration with the DIPS divisional management team, and other stakeholders, you will ensure all divisional initiatives are aligned with strategic organization goals and are sufficiently flexible to respond to shifts in strategic direction.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing consultation to the division on business, operational, strategic, business continuity, and financial/budget planning.
