Job Summary

The Budgeting & Forecasting Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining financial stability and operational efficiency within Client Services. This position is essential for:

• Managing departmental budgets
• Forecasting staffing needs
• Optimizing workforce allocation for productivity and cost-effectiveness

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to transform complex data into strategic insights. This role is instrumental in scaling Client Services to support Sephora's growing business.

Responsibilities

1. Contact and Staffing Forecasting (25% of time)
   • Develop accurate contact forecasts using historical data, industry trends, and business insights
   • Predict volume to inform staffing plans and budget requirements
2. Financial Analysis and Reporting (25% of time)
   • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses
   • Address complex financial inquiries
   • Convert productivity metrics into financial figures for precise budgeting and cost analysis
3. Forecasting Model Development (20% of time)
   • Identify actionable insights to resolve workforce planning challenges
   • Build and refine forecasting and financial/budgeting models
4. Reporting and Management Communication (15% of time)
   • Generate detailed reports on workforce metrics, forecasts, and budget impacts
   • Present findings to senior management as needed
5. Strategic Alignment (15% of time)
   • Ensure staffing plans and budget requirements align with business goals and operational needs

Qualifications

• 2+ years in care center leadership, business analysis, management consulting, or finance
• 1+ year of proficiency with SQL (joins, multiple joins, subqueries, unions) in MS SQL or Google BigQuery environments

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred

The annual base salary range for this position is $71,145.00 - $94,620.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
