Bookkeeper (Quickbooks)

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday-Friday - 4 hours per day - between 8am and 6pm Houston, TX Time

Scope:

• Manage financial records for a company with approximately $700,000 annual revenue
  

• Handle around 2,300-2,400 total transactions per year across four accounts
  

• Work remotely as part of a team including 17-18 independent contractors
  

• Collaborate with external accounting firm for tax filing purposes
  

• Contribute to financial strategy for existing operations and new business venture
  

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
  

• Catch up on past financial records, focusing on 2023 reconciliations
  

• Prepare financial information for 1120 tax filing
  

• Perform ongoing monthly reconciliations
  

• Generate financial reports from QuickBooks for management
  

• Assist in potential transition from QuickBooks to Zoho Finance/Books
  

• Handle various bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and transaction categorization
  

• Manage and resolve financial record discrepancies
  

Requirements:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks
  

• Experience with financial reconciliations and report generation
  

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  

• Excellent communication skills
  

• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Zoho Finance/Books
  

• Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
