We are leaders in the field of immunology, having developed anti-TL1A monoclonal antibodies, and continue to lead with new indications and modalities targeting the TL1A pathway.
We have a powerful precision medicine platform within our company, combining proprietary machine learning-based analytical approaches with one of the world’s largest gastrointestinal bioinformatics databases to identify novel therapeutic targets and develop therapeutic candidates to engage those targets. The Biobank based in our company's San Diego site collaborates with bench scientists, bioinformaticians, and data engineers to support our company's pipeline programs encompassing early target discovery and validation, drug discovery, translational medicine, and precision medicine.
Summary
We seek a motivated, experienced, and detail oriented Biobanking Operations Manager to support discovery efforts in Immunology and other disease areas. This individual will manage biobank sample operations, as well as biospecimen data, and will communicate status to a variety of stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor biospecimen status, transfers, processing, and storage
Operationalize research plans (e.g. CDx) to facilitate timely analysis
Manage day-to-day LIMS operations
Ensure that LIMS biospecimens can be linked seamlessly with associated datasets
On an ongoing basis, perform biospecimen inventory reconciliation and ensure broad visibility by the relevant stakeholders
Perform biospecimen consolidation in LIMS to optimize storage space
Oversee genomic DNA extractions performed by lab associates
Required Education and Experience
B.S. degree in a biological science is preferred; four-year college degree
5+ years’ hands-on lab experience in an academic, biotech, or biopharma lab
Required Skills and Abilities:
Prior experience in biospecimen operations/biospecimen data management for clinical trials or biobanks
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an eagerness to work with and support colleagues within several departments
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Prior experience with LIMS
Prior experience managing direct reports

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:
$101,100.00 - $159,100.00Available benefits include bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. A summary of benefits is listed here.
