Billing Operations Analyst (Remote, North Carolina region)

The Role

As a Billing Operations Analyst, you will execute billing initiatives, identify process improvements, and support cross-functional teams to enhance our billing operations. You will work closely with various departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Billing Execution and Customer Service: 
  • Execute all billing initiatives and goals with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Respond to billing inquiries through various channels (email, phone, agent requests) within 24 hours.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction.

Forecasting and Analysis: 

  • Analyze billing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Create reports and dashboards to communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: 

  • Identify and implement sustainable and impactful process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for billing processes.

System Migration and Integration: 

  • Assist in initiatives involving billing platform migration and integration.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

Cross-functional Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with other teams (e.g., underwriting, claims, customer service, and growth) to address billing-related issues and improve operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance the company's billing capabilities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in billing operations, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with billing systems and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Compensation:

The base annual salary range for this role is $81,000-$90,000 and will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which also includes a discretionary bonus of 10% and other Cover Whale-sponsored benefits.
