Job Overview
The Regional HR Leader is responsible for driving the HR strategy across the region. This role oversees country HR teams, leading Country HR Leaders and HR teams that manage both professional and transactional services. The position requires close collaboration with Centers of Expertise (CoEs) such as Compensation & Benefits, Staffing & Recruiting, and Learning, as well as business unit (BU) HR teams to ensure seamless execution of HR initiatives. Additionally, this role is responsible for employee relations, union negotiations, and compliance with local labor laws.
The Regional HR Leader plays a crucial role in aligning corporate HR activities within the region, ensuring exceptional service delivery while addressing strategic business needs. The role also provides governance, oversight of policies and procedures, and compliance management. Moreover, this leader coordinates all CoE activities across the region and provides guidance on mergers & acquisitions (M&A), divestitures, and restructuring efforts at both country and regional levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Act as a strategic partner, translating business challenges into HR strategies that support long-term objectives.
- Partner with leadership to implement people strategies for talent management, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes and workforce planning on talent attraction, retention, and development.
- Build credibility as a trusted HR advisor while leveraging market insights to drive business value.
- Ensure HR programs remain competitive by working closely with Total Rewards.
Execution
- Develop and implement HR policies, optimizing efficiency through performance metrics and continuous improvement.
- Align workforce planning with business needs, ensuring consistency in hiring, policy development, and HR practices.
- Manage budgets, financial planning, and compliance with domestic and international labor laws.
- Oversee HR process delivery, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and functions.
- Drive excellence in leadership development, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Lead labor and employee relations, ensuring compliance and effective issue resolution.
Talent Development
- Coach senior management on HR processes and people strategies.
- Strengthen the HR function by assessing team effectiveness and fostering professional growth.
- Mentor HR professionals, developing expertise and leadership capabilities.
- Identify and cultivate high-potential talent, creating opportunities for advancement.
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a global, high-growth organization.
- At least 5 years of senior management experience leading globally distributed teams.
- Strong ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR CoEs, IT, and Labor & Employment Law teams.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships across multiple cultures, levels, and geographies.
- Expertise in consulting and change management, with the ability to assess needs and drive transformation.
- Business acumen with a strong customer orientation.
- Resilient and passionate leader with excellent communication skills.
- Experience navigating complex matrix organizations and resolving challenging situations.
- Deep knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR policies across multiple regions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop action plans, meet deadlines, and communicate key updates effectively.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing HR teams.
- Willingness to travel (up to 20%).
- Languages: English and Spanish required; Portuguese is a plus.
Role Scope: Americas
- Employee Demographics: 23,000+ employees, with major presence in Mexico, the U.S., Costa Rica, and Brazil.
- Stakeholders: All BUs within the region, along with corporate functions, requiring collaboration across BUs and CoEs.
- Legislative Complexity: Strong ability to manage local labor laws, union negotiations, and compliance across multiple regulatory bodies.
- Team Management: Leads a geographically dispersed team, including 4 direct reports and a total HR team of approximately 90 employees.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $201,700-302,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
