Bilingual Dir. of Planning & Customer Service

Note: This role requires being Bilingual in Spanish and English as it will managing staff in the USA, Mexico & Columbia.
The Director of Supply Chain Planning for the Americas oversees and optimizes the Customer Service and planning processes across the US, Mexico, and Colombia to ensure seamless integration of demand and supply planning activities, inventory management, and production scheduling. This role focuses on achieving excellent service levels, inventory accuracy, and cost optimization while aligning with TekniPlex's quality, safety, and profitability standards. The Director also champions a collaborative work environment consistent with company values and goals, fostering cross-functional integration within the Americas region. Bilingual in Spanish and English is Preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Demand Planning: Lead and consolidate regional forecasts based on sales inputs, historical data, and market trends, integrating statistical models and customer-specific inventory strategies.
2. Operational Planning: Establish service level agreements (SLAs) with supply planning teams across the Americas. Monitor on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance, manage slow-moving SKUs, and implement corrective actions as needed to address demand variability.
3. Inventory Planning: Define and manage inventory policies, including safety stock, cycle stock, lead-time stock, and contingency stock, tailored to each location within the Americas region.
4. Production Scheduling: Prioritize master production schedules, addressing potential capacity constraints (e.g., line capacity, labor, batch sizes, bottlenecks, planned downtime) and aligning resources to meet customer needs and forecasted demand.
5. Capacity Planning: Develop and maintain a rough-cut capacity plan (RCCP) for production, accommodating stock-building and logistical constraints while ensuring efficient utilization of assets and resources.
6. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize the supply chain, such as SKU rationalization, facility planning adjustments, and improvement projects that drive financial results and enhance process efficiencies.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership: Actively engage with Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment on planning and forecasting activities, promoting clear communication and collaboration throughout the region.
8. Team Development: Manage and mentor the planning and customer service team across the Americas, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. Conduct performance evaluations, set individual development goals, and foster skills growth.
9. KPI Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor regional planning efficiency, inventory accuracy, service levels, and operational effectiveness, ensuring data-driven decisions are made to enhance supply chain performance.
Requirements:
Education:
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
Experience:
• Minimum of 7-10 years in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a similar industry.
• Strong experience in demand planning, inventory management, and production scheduling, with regional oversight across multiple countries.
• Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and implementing process improvements in supply chain planning.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strategic and analytical mindset with advanced problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory optimization models.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build cross-functional partnerships.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead change initiatives.
Salary: $125,000 to $145,000 DOE
