Responsibilities

Responsibilities of a Bid Manager in the Recruitment Industry

 

In this role you will work closely and collaboratively with the Sales Lead, Operational stakeholders from across our UK brands and subject matter experts during the bid and proposal phases of the wider sales cycle.  There is also engagement with our international colleagues and counterparts to support global opportunities.

 

You will have responsibility for producing high quality, persuasive proposals and response documents for formal tender processes from potential and existing clients. This position is all encompassing across each element and stage of bid and proposal development and production.  Core requirements include project managing, writing, editing and producing the final version in accordance with brand guidelines, whilst tailoring to the needs of the client. 

This also includes assisting with updating and maintaining content for the bid library.

 

As part of this role you will be involved in supporting wider team initiatives and projects that support continuous improvement. 

As part of a remote team, this role is predominately home based, with some requirements to travel for meetings.  Core locations for meetings tend to be our head office in Chesterfield and Central London.

Skills

What you will need – Essential Skills:

  • Strong organisation skills with high levels of attention to detail
  • Demonstrable project management skills within a process driven and, sometimes, pressurised environment
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships
  • Be a team player with the ability to manage your own timetable
  • Have effective and persuasive writing skills
  • Proof reading skills to support written material from colleagues
  • Have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and tender portals

Desirable skills:

  • APMP accreditation (minimum foundation) and / or relevant qualifications in Project Management, Communication etc.
  • 5+ years experience within a bid / sales environment
  • Experience and knowledge of the recruitment and HR solutions market
  • A good understanding of social value within the recruitment and HR service sector
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of bid management software / design software
